The Diaspora Confederacy
A Situationist Experiment
this website is being created as a means to
start compiling some thoughts, questions, and proposals to try and articulate,
define and create an organization which works for a radical restructuring (or
destruction) of this society
and the full recreation of a liberated way of life.
the ideas compiled here are meant to create and encourage a tangible,
powerful and empowering break with the means of resistance that have
become routine, dishonest and/or pacifying.
everything presented here is constantly evolving and anyone's input, critique,
contribution or challenge is both welcome and invited...
(The Diaspora Confederacy) - this is the initial piece of writing that spearheaded the creation of this website and outlines the main ideas that the rest of the site hopefully draws out, adds depth to and clarifies.

Those of us living within the U.$. are in the home of the most powerful, deadly, vicious and insane war machine in human history. The war mongers are currently carrying out a devastatingly murderous campaign against Afghanistan, and likely against numerous other countries and internal dissidents (and brown immigrants) under the lie of "anti-terrorism" and patriotic stupidity. This section is full of readings and links and flyers and graphics to help you struggle against the war machine however you see fit.
"Everybody wants to breathe,
and nobody can breathe,
and many people say, 'we'll be able to breathe later.'
and most people don't because they are already dead."

"Although there is considerable debate over the precise
parameters of the field and the definition of the term 'postcolonial,' in a
very general sense, it is the study of the interactions between European nations
and the societies they colonized in the modern period. The European empire is
said to have held sway over more than 85% of the rest of the globe by the time
of the First World War, having consolidated its control over several centuries.
The sheer extent and duration of the European empire and its disintegration
after the Second World War have led to widespread interest in postcolonial literature
and criticism in our own times."

International Revolutionary Organization
Throughout the world people are organizing and resisting. In fact, resistance is so common and takes so many forms, that we can hardly catalog everything here. However, there are quite a number of excellent organizations we've found who are fighting for national liberation and the removal of oppressive occupational regimes and/or for a generalized revolutionary movement for a new society. In an attempt to ground ourselves in an internationalist revolutionary viewpoint, here are some readings and links from radical organizations both within the U.$. and globally.
"Like I've said so many times before, the long memory
is the most radical idea around." - Utah Phillips
Those of us who struggle for freedom today are forever indebted to those
who came before us.
There are, of course, millions and millions of individuals who have fought for
freedom, and many of them remain nameless.
Still, we feel it is important to offer readings and links by and about some
of the freedom fighters of past generations that we might learn well from.

on my own.
and i'm not asking for more than i can give.
angry arms, reverent feet..."
